Is Heathway Becoming a No-Go Area?

I ran a small business(BLUNTS KIOSK'S in the Heathway Shopping Mall selling Smoking Accesories, I was there for about three years, in which time I met several decent people and friends, and thoroughly enjoyed my Job.

In April 2008 I received a letter from the New Landlords (DTZ) saying I had two weeks to vacate the Kiosks and to cease trading immediatly. I was handed a petition from a customer who had obtained 700 Signatures asking the Landlords (DTZ) to allow me to stay in the Mall, and WHY I had to leave.

As no reason has been given to me by the Manager of the Mall ( Jeff Jackson) or from DTZ I can only assume Smokers and tokers of Dagenham have been stigmatised at the whim of the new Manager (Jeff Jackson and a security guard).

I was born and bred in Dagenham and yet this new Manager has decided to rid other small business's owned by people living locally, also got rid of the Cleaner who had been there for 15 years by sending in a complaint from two manageress's knowing it to contain LIES. I will continue asking DTZ and the manager the reason for my eviction by using the Data Protection Act and any other means I can find. However, I was in the Heathway last week, and goodness me, it is the most depressing place in Dagenham, and to think of all the money spent on trying to improve it has been a waste, thanks to our local Councillors and MP Jon Cruddas. Will keep you posted. Jill
